The Pattern Pilot is the latest marking knife to be added to the Czeck Edge product line and will stand proudly between the Kerf Kadet and the Fatboy II. The O1 tool steel blade is .060" thick X 3/8" wide and 1 7/8" long, all dimensions are unique to a marking knife in this class. The machined bronze ferrule is 1/2" in diameter with three finger grooves which completes a seamless transition from the 5 1/2" long exotic hardwood handle.
The Pattern Pilot is designed for the woodworking craftsman whose layout requirements demand the finesse and precision of the Kerf Kadet but may also need to rely upon the rigorous aptitude of the Fatboy II. Those who are presently using the Kerf Kadet will find the Pattern Pilot an old friend in the hand as both handle profiles are very similar. The design of the Pattern Pilot was made with this attribute in mind, as any transition between the two tools is barely noticeable while working in a task specific environment requiring the performance of both blades.
